Our Story
It
began in 1981, in Marty Herman's small Birmingham
store. The smell of the cookies wafting out of
the bakery alone created a cult following for these
fantastic baked treats.
Fast forward five years
... it was 1986 and Stacy Fox was a high school
student when she began her career in cookies,
working the counter for Marty. She soon
learned all the ins and outs, and chips and chunks
of the cookie business.
Fifteen years later, Marty sold the store to Stacy,
its current owner. After she purchased Marty's
cookies, she expanded the store's cookie offerings,
adding healthy choices, low-fat cookies, the famous
Marty Bar and many other decadent treats.
In 2007, Stacy and Josh Charlip created a
partnership to ensure that Marty's Cookies would
continue to grow. And like any great baked
good, its fortunes keep on rising ...
